It's the time of year where we prep ourselves for the coming season with cozy sweaters and pumpkin spiced everything. Fall is almost upon us, and that means it's time to get your home ready for the autumn season! Here are a few easy ways to transition your home from summer to fall décor.
Indulge in some autumn-scented candles.
The simplest way to bring autumn into your home is with some candles! Let the oh-so-decadent smells of pumpkin spice and apple cider fill your humble abode. Even just the aromas of autumn will help make your home feel a little more cozy and fall-ready!
Add some new mugs to your collection.
For those of you who aren't tea or coffee drinkers year-round, fall is the perfect excuse to get yourself some new mugs! Even if you're not into the whole pumpkin spice hype, you can still sip on some hot chocolate in a spiffy new mug.
What’s fall decor without pumpkins? Spray paint some pumpkins rose gold, write fall-themed words on them in metallic markers, or even bedazzle them with gems. You can do so many fun DIY's with them!
Spruce up your tabletops with florals.
Just because the weather's getting chillier and leaves are falling off the trees, doesn't mean you can't decorate your space with some pretty florals! Opt for some warm-toned colours to go with the whole fall mood.
Add in gold details.
Gold is such a beautiful accent colour for fall – try a few gold coasters or gold mugs! If you’re on a budget, you can do some DIYs by painting things like picture frames or candle holders.
Throw in some accent pillows and throw blankets.
Layers aren't just for your outfits – add in some coziness with accent pillows and throw blankets. Fall decor is all about layering textures, so try mixing things like plaid with wool! You don't have to go with the typical fall colours of yellow, orange, red, or brown either – forest green is also a great fall colour.
How do you plan on transitioning your home decor from summer to fall? What are you looking forward to most this autumn season?
