What To Do For Your Mom This Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day is this Sunday and while presents and brunch are always a thoughtful idea, we recommend switching it up! We all know that all moms deserve to be pampered, but this year we suggest expressing your love to her in a different way - with words!

Words are often put into cards and sealed with a simple message. This Mother’s Day, we challenge you to write down what your mother truly means to you. This way she can store it in her memory box, and it will be treasured forever.

To help spark some inspiration, here are two things we know we’ll be expressing this weekend:

Thank you for being our support system

Moms just know. They know what we need, when we need it, and sometimes before we even know that we need it ourselves! It’s as if they can read minds and know exactly how to comfort you when you need it the most. So, thank you for reminding us of our potential when at times we don’t even see it.

Thank you for always being truthful

Moms know what we need to hear even if we don’t want to listen to it. Sometimes we all need a good dose of reality, and our moms are often the best medicine. Tough love isn’t always what we want but in the end, it’s usually what we need. Moms, we thank you for the tough love, we may have hated it at the time but it shaped us into the people we are today.

If you’re thinking, “I get it! But how else can I express this other than in a card?’ Here are two creative DIYs to express your love to your momma:

A Note Jar

Beautiful, sentimental, and creative - a memory jar is a perfect way to not only share old memories but to also tell your mom how much she means to you! Bust out those scissors and pens and write down some memories and messages! Have a lot of love to share? Write multiple notes and tell your mom to only read one note a day so that it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

A Scrapbook

Pair your thoughts with pictures and create a scrapbook that will bring a new meaning to your family memories! By making a scrapbook you are expressing your feelings through memories that she may have never known and it’s a great way to show her your love and gratitude!

Not only could we not have made it this far without our moms we wouldn’t even be here without them. So to all you moms out there, thank you for your constant advice, support, and love!

We hope you use some of these ideas for your mom this year and let us know what you love about your mom in the comments below!
